Raining cats and dogs - Chiove, chiove

Even though it's raining
Anche se sta piovendo

and even though I have hair like a Calico Cat,
e anche se ho i capelli come un gatto Calico,

I'm happy that I have a roof over my head and greens from my garden sauteing on the stove with cherry tomatoes, garlic, red pepper flakes, capers and black olives - to go over pasta with some crumbled Feta cheese.
sono felice di avere un tetto sopra la testa e verdure dal mio orto che si stanno in questo momento cuocendo con pomodorini, aglio, peperoncino, capperi e olive nere - da mettere poi sulla pasta con del formaggio Feta sbriciolato.
We've covered the cats, but what about the pack of stray dogs?
E i cani randagi? 
Their guardian angel is always there for them.
Il loro angelo custode provvede sempre.

A few bunnies, a dog and a cat - Qualche coniglietto, un cane e un gatto

As soon as I saw Carla Sonheim's Tombow pen bunny tutorial I painted a couple of them.
Appena ho visto la lezione di Carla Sonheim sul disegno di coniglietti con la penna Tombow ne ho fatti un paio.

The next day I varied the style somewhat. Il giorno successivo ne ho fatto una variante.

Yesterday I moved on to cats. The funny thing is that while I was painting this one there was a TV program playing in the background about UFO sightings and alien visitations. If there are aliens on Earth I'm sure most of them are in cat bodies. Ieri sera sono passata ai gatti. La cosa buffa e` che mentre dipingevo questo gatto nel sottofondo c'era un programma in TV sugli avvistamenti degli UFO e le visite degli alieni. Se vi sono alieni sulla Terra sono abbastanza convinta che si sono impossessati dei corpi dei gatti.

In between the rabbits and the cats, so as not to neglect dogs, I cut an image out of a magazine and glued it onto a painted page. 

Tra i conigli e i gatti, tanto per non lasciare in disparte i cani ho incollato un'immagine ritagliata da una rivista su una pagina che avevo dipinto. 

Since dogs are the animals I feel closest to, I know that sooner or later I will start painting them. Maybe I haven't done so yet because I have already included them in my mixed media pieces and in my ceramics or maybe because I know that if I start painting dogs I won't stop!

Visto che il cane e` l'animale a cui sono piu` vicina, so che prima o poi li dipingero`.  Forse non lo faccio gia` perche` l'ho usati nei pezzi di mixed media e nelle mie ceramiche o forse e` perche` so che se inizio con i cani poi non la finisco piu`!
